Rest Of February: Vancouver, BC

3/1/2016

Happy March 1st! The rest of February was a good mix of relaxing and busyness for us. We took two weekend trips up to Vancouver, BC - one with the kids and one without the kids. Other than that, most days were spent staying in, reading books together and just hanging out. Maybe it's pregnancy and I get tired more easily because of it now, I haven't been feeling too adventurous about venturing out with the kids or doing playdates. Definitely extra thankful for the wonderful Seattle libraries and kid-friendly coffee shops near our neighborhood, which are this tired mama's life saver.

Here are some of the pictures we snapped while in Canada...

Picture
Collage Collage, a cute little art studio/shop where we spent a rainy afternoon together
Picture
We always do Granville Island in Vancouver because the kids love chasing the crows and pigeons outside and we get to buy fresh fruits at the market there.
Picture
We went to the public library in downtown Vancouver. Was very impressed with how big the kids' floor was.
Picture
So many options of Japanese candies at a little shop on Robson St.
Picture
As any trips with kids, we spent a good amount of time just having fun in the hotel
Picture
We went in for their open studio time. Z painted a wooden bird house, N a cobra, and mama a wooden house :) So fun!
Picture
Nay's love for animals and any living creature is still going strong. He stood in front of the fish stand for a good 10 minutes and we learned all the names of each fish.
Picture
We stumbled upon Liberty coffee shop/bakery in the main street neighborhood. They have the cutest sugar cookies!
Picture
Grass Jelly Roasted Milk Tea and Mango QQ also on Robson St :)
Picture
Izzy got sick the day we went to Vancouver, so this rare smile of hers during a bath was so precious
Picture
Izzy kept herself busy in the little play corner inside Collage Collage. She loves dolls. Any dolls!
Picture
We splurged and let the kids play at the arcade. They were picking out prizes with the few tickets we got. Brought back so many of my own childhood memories!
Picture
Also taken at the library...realized I didnt have any other pics there. We obviously loved this photogenic staircase there haha!
Picture
Traditional Japanese breakfast at Marulilu near downtown
Picture
Eating lychees and loving it!! My true Taiwanese children :)
