Hi! I can't believe it's March already. A big chunk of February was spent in sickness for our entire family. First, Nathan, then Zoey, then Gary, and finally, Izzy. It took each of them more than a week to recover, and I'm just so glad that for the most part, it's all over with now. Izzy is still coughing and snotty and I've been feeling a bit under the weather here and there, but nothing too bad yet, so for that I am very thankful. We've been having some really nice weather in Seattle this weekend (what better way to start off the new month, right?) We got to spend Saturday morning with the Chungs, which felt so nice after weeks of not being able to hang out much due to us being sick. We met up at Volunteer Park Cafe for breakfast, and afterwards we walked up to Volunteer Park together to run around and enjoy the sunshine. The cafe is in a cute yellow house in a residential area. Their food and baked goods are pretty good in terms of portions and quality, and I like my soy latte there (I am no coffee expert but after drinking so many soy lattes over the years, I think I can tell which ones are better :) The place isn't big and it gets quite busy, so I won't say it's the most stroller-friendly restaurant, but plan ahead with timing and maybe babywearing, it'll work :) Volunteer Park has been one of our favorite places to go lately. It's got easy + free parking, big playground, a cool and warm green house, great view of the city, and lots of big trees and spacious grassy areas for running around. Bathroom access is also easy and quite clean - very important for this mama of 3! Our older two took a really early nap on Saturday, so early that we were able to squeeze in a visit to the zoo and downtown seattle before it got dark. We didn't take any pictures at the zoo, but I did snapped a couple at dinner: Izzy's started to sit really well in a restaurant high chair now! I bought some baby rice puffs this week for her to try, and she's gotten pretty good at picking it up on her own from the tabletop now. Above//
When Z and N finished eating, they both wanted to go find Izzy in her high chair and play with her. Zoey was feeding Iz the baby puffs, and Izzy had her mouth wide open while playing with Naynay's face and hair...it was so cute I took about 10+ pictures of them, trying to get a good one. And this is the best one I got. Oh well, at least it shows their personalities perfectly. Below// A family that eats froyo together, stays together? haha! Gary is a big fan of frozen yogurt (he likes the sour sorbet) so we went and got some at TCBY after dinner. We got there literally 2 minutes before they closed. And Z and N talked me into putting m&ms and sour gummies in it. I think they could tell that mama was in a rush and it was a good timing.
